COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Community support was established by Tanzanian government purpose to
support people from poverty all over the country. Bright African
Safaris has a special tour based on community support around
Kilimanjaro and Arusha region.
This special tour includes visiting to the local primary schools,
Hospitals, Poor families and Orphans children’s center.
As in Tanzania there are so many things to do while on this
community support tour, you will have time working with the
villagers on their development project
Tree
planting project (environmental project)
This is done annually to protect our environment from drought. This
project was first done by our Tanzanian president after we had a
year of drought which real affected most of people around Tanzania.
People most surfed with lack of food and water and the government
was to give them life support. There after the government made a
system of planting a tree first before cutting a tree. This is now
held by individuals and also in groups such as groups of woman,
villagers and etc.
How can you support tree planting project! Its simple like you will
first choose where you need to support whether in Kilimanjaro or
Arusha Region. Then you have also to say how many days you are
expecting to volunteer on this project while in Tanzania and when?
Bright African Safaris is going to arrange this for you as its
giving out his 10% of his profit annually to support to these
community project.
This support is normally done from November to march as we depend
much on rain season. It can be also arranged and done on late July
to august as we also have a short rain season too. This project
needs you to buy some tree plant and also your man power. This is
normally done to protect our soil from drought as well as soil
erosion. Planting trees to protect our water source.
Water supply
project.
This project was established to support people in the village who
should walk for a distance daily to fetch some water for their daily
use. The water source is away from from their residential so they
daily walk with their ports, basket and some times with a little
baby on their back for about a distance of kms. .As they are leaving
in the villager, some in the wild animals area which is also risk
for their life walking in the area with buffalo, leopard and they
sometimes chased away by these animals while from fetching some
water.
Water is our life and to support their life you can do one of the
following things.
- Support to build up the water tanks.
- Support to distribute water to the villagers.
- Support to buy water purifying chemicals.
- Support to protect our water source.
- Cleaning up our water source point.
Supporting to this water supply project, you can do one of the
mentioned above. Your support will be much appreciated will all
Tanzanian people.
Orphan
children’s support!
Bright African Safaris will arrange a tour visiting to the orphan
center. Children’s are suffering from education, medical care after
being left by both their parents that are Mother and father. This
happened after some of them died by AIDS which is much affecting
some areas in African continent. Orphans depends much of their life
on our supporting and to make them survive as human being, Bright
African Safaris has introduced a tour based on visiting these
orphans centers as we are also supporting with our 10% of our
annually profit to these centers. Children’s are awaiting for our
support. Your sympathy will leads you on how we can help on bringing
up these children’s whether in education needs, foods, clothes, and
also medical care. Visiting to these centers will not cost you much
than your heart to help what you can. You will also have time
talking with them, Playing with them also seeing what how you can
support them. Let us spend our little time visitant's to these
centers to give helps to our children’s.
As we are all human being, our supports are much awaited by these
orphan children’s whether in medical or education support. Making
safari with Bright African Safaris is also like supporting to the
orphan center as we annually contribute 10% of our profit to support
on these centers.

Support to the
poor families
This are families which are either poor because of may be they are
not been to schools since their grand grandfather and mother and its
adopting up to now. This happened since colonial government where by
educations were offered according to the religions. Families were
forced to accept the Christian religion so that they could get
support from missionaries. Those who did not accept it, they were
not taken to school and they were not given any education support.
This is because all schools were owned by missionaries. This was
real affected most of the families till now. Because they are not
offered education their families could not change and most remained
poor and poor since years and years.
They now depending on us to help on taking some of their children’s
to school at least they will later be able to help them selves
together with their families. Some are now very old and they could
get support from their sons but the problems comes when the sons
doesn’t have any means of assisting because they also don’t have
means of capital because of not being to school, they could be
employed somewhere but how? As our government offer primary
education level for free without payment and also we have government
secondary school but its lucky if you will be selected to join the
government secondary school and if not you should join private
secondary school. Here you should have to pay cash for all these
four years but how can you pay all these money and you are from
disabled family? Most failed to attend private secondary school
because of lack of capital and they are from poor families. This is
amongst the big problems face most of the children’s from poor
families.
Here you are requested to support on paying school fees. They are
many children’s who are willing to study and they don’t have capital
to pay for school fees. Help paying them school fees.
Their life is too tough and they are awaiting on our support in
educations, medical and life support. Let us help by paying them
school fees direct to their school. Supporting to this problem
doesn’t mean that you should pay for ten children’s!! No, you might
pay even for a single child and also not all the year, you can
contribute for 1year school fees etc. Let us think on how we can
help on this problem.

Activities found in this village of beautiful highlands.
Hike up to the pick of kindoroko forest (2113m).This is indigenous
forest with an interesting flora and fauna.Its also a revealed
ritual site.
-A short visits to the local families. Here you will have time
seeing and experiencing the local life in the round house (msonge)
which was previous used to accommodate a family of 8-10persons.These
houses has different partitions like place for 2cows, 1special room
for father and mother and a space within cows part is used as a
dining room during a day and also sleeping room during the night. On
top we have a roof used to store crops. The housed are all builders
by mud and roofed by cooking oil canes. Some are over 120years now.
-Hike down to Goma caves which were built during the old clans wars.
This was from late 18th to early 1905.
-Walk to the Ibwe la vana site. This is a huge precipice where by
infanticide was practiced before the coming of the Islamic and
Christian missionaries.
-Cultural interaction with the local elder at Mbale village.
-A short visit to Kivindu primary school which was builder by
missionaries since 1900th.
-Visits to the hospitals and primary schools which are now
constructed by villagers on self help project. Ten percent of bright
African safaris profit is annually donated to help to this self help
project.
